The most valuable monument in Lipnica Murowana – apart from the church under the vocation of St. Leonard – is a spacious quadrilateral square. It is surrounded by single-storeyed buildings, mostly made of wood. Most of the houses were situated with their roof tops in front and many of them have preserved arcades supported on pillars up to present times. Many of these middle-class houses have been regarded historic.
